Tea-bags Delicate Herbs

As low as €7.50

Light herbal blend in which fruity flavours, such as lemon and verbena, dominate.

Our tea bags are made of plant material (PLA). For the time being, they are only biodegradable in an industrial composting installation. You can throw the tea itself in the organic waste bin, but the bag itself still has to go with the residual waste.

TEA OR INFUSION?

Washed and dried herbs and fruit pieces are excellent for adding flavour and atmosphere to tea or rooibos, but you can also make a 100% pure infusion with them. Due to the absence of theine and tannins, herbal and fruit infusions can be steeped a little longer to release more flavour. They are also ideal for drinking in the evening for people for whom theine can disturb their sleep. However, due to the often coarse structure, the use of a larger filter is usually recommended.

Tea is made exclusively from the leaves of the Camellia Sinensis plant. Extractions made from ingredients other than the leaves of the Camellia Sinensis plant may not formally be called tea. They are called, for example, an infusion of herbs or fruit. The youngest leaves of the Camelia Sinensis shrub are always picked, namely the leaf that flares out (sort of needle) and the two leaves next to it. This is called 'two leaves and a bud'. With these freshly plucked leaves, you can make black, oolong, green and fermented tea.
